Commune de Saint-Michel-en-Brenne
This large hide offers a view of one of the Brenne’s most beautiful lakes. The well managed lake attracts birds all year round. In spring, Purple Herons occur alongside the Little Bittern, the Great Reed Warbler occupies the reeds, while Whiskered Terns and the Black-necked Grebes share the open water in the company of the Black-headed Gulls. In winter, the Bittern comes to feed on its shallow waters, and overwintering ducks are attracted by the large area of open water.
